Welcome to Our Nursery!

 

All of our cuddly babies are closed banded and well socialized. We provide tons of individual TLC to each baby by himself, away from his clutchmates. We handle each one separately several times a day to ensure that it will become a lovable pet and enjoy human interaction. Our goal is to provide pet birds that will become adored members of their adopted familiies.

In our breeding program we have centered on achieving particular goals. Our selection process centers on choosing parental traits for certain physical standards of appearance, as set forth by ALBS, as well as selecting for certain personailty and behavioral traits in each parent. We attempt to choose mates that will produce offspring that are not only beautiful in appearance but will also possess sweet personalities and have predictable patterns of behavior. We consider our very limited breeding program to be an effort to further the domestication of the species.

We admit that this sounds like a lofty goal, and it is! But, we believe that over time we can acheive this goal with the proper selection criteria and that these breeding rules will benefit both the hobby and the species as a whole.
